If you own or plan to purchase an RV, then you should educate yourself on as many ways you can enjoy the RV as possible. Something you should know that some new RV owners might not be aware of is that there are long-term RV parks. These parks can offer you a space in the park on a month-to-month basis. These long-term RV parks often have a lot to offer, and there are many reasons why some people choose to stay in them for extended periods of time. You can learn more about the things these RV parks can offer and reasons why someone may choose to stay in them below:
Possible features of long-term RV parks
RV parks that offer spaces on a long-term basis often try to make the park as convenient and RV-friendly as possible. Some things they often offer include:
BBQ grilling areas—It's common to find plenty of BBQ grilling areas located throughout long-term RV parks. There may be larger grilling stations located in certain areas of the park, or each space may have its own small grilling area.
Swimming pools—Another thing often seen at RV parks, including the long-term parks, are swimming pools. This is an especially great amenity if the park is in a warmer region.
Laundry options—Long-term RV parks will often have some type of laundry facility or service. There may be an on-site laundromat that can be used by those staying in the park. Or, there might be a wash-and-fold service, where the laundry can be picked up from the RV, then washed and dried, and returned to the RV, folded.
Planned weekend family events—It's also common to run across long-term RV parks that often have planned weekend family events for everyone to enjoy. This is great for kids because they can have a great time and also get to know other kids who are also staying in the park.
Some reasons why people stay in a long-term RV park
Home hardships—There are many reasons why a family may find themselves without a home. However, when they still have their RV, they can easily stay in a long-term RV park. Some possible reasons for ending up in such a situation can include a home being destroyed in a fire or flood, financial difficulties, and more. It's much easier and usually more affordable to rent an RV site than it would be to rent or buy a home.
Long-term projects—Sometimes, someone will have a job out of town that's going to go on for a long time. They can rent an RV site and stay in their RV while they are working on that project.
Summer getaways—There are a lot of families that decide to get away for the whole summer while the kids are out of school. Renting a site in a long-term RV park lets them have a great time camping in their RV for the summer, without needing to worry about constantly planning for the next destination and doing all the other tasks that would need to be done to travel from place to place all summer. Plus, it will be more affordable to stay in one place.
